Today many business leaders don’t take the time to say thank you. Instead, they write a fast e-mail or make a phone call. The personal note or letter is practically obsolete.
To make a stand-out statement, keep a box of note cards in your desk. When you get a significant customer or someone has assisted you, send a short handwritten note of thanks. The impact will be substantial because few people are willing to take this step.
