When Buyers and Sellers are in Conflict

Posted by Steve Marr in Untagged

I’m working with a person who is seriously considering buying an income tax preparation business. The seller is taking a job out of town. While they may be able to place a manager in charge of the business, the business would be better served if sold before next year’s tax season.  Given that we’re at the start of October, time is short to finalize a transaction, do a simple financial review, and close so the new owner has time to organize for the 2017 tax year.

Should You Provide Quotations Every Time?

Posted by Steve Marr in Untagged

When I reach this stage I have to quietly ask the Lord, “Is this a circumstance I need to back away from or should I continue to press harder.”

The Cost of Commuting to Work

Posted by Steve Marr in Untagged

“Bob” contacted me to ask if he should buy new car or a used vehicle for commuting to work. He had a long drive to his employment that put 30,000 miles a year on his car just for getting to and from work.
